When did you get your start in the business? Why? How?
I was originally a computer major, but when I moved to a new area in 2005, I saw many people in my life who were looking to buy properties. Because they were unfamiliar with the market, they didn’t know where to start. I saw this as an opportunity to start a new career while also having the opportunity to help those around me.
Overall, being a realtor has been very rewarding. I’ve gotten to witness just how much a little guidance can help families find a space to grow, learn, and make memories together. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to be a part of that journey.
What do you like about the business? What don’t you like?
A definite benefit is time flexibility. This allows me to be there for my kids while also being there for my clients. What I don’t like, and what’s also the most challenging part, is when individuals don’t qualify to own a home even though they have a strong desire to do so. It’s heartbreaking for me to see families who want to move up in the world be bound by their circumstances.
